Securitybyte Conference 2011 - Largest IT Security Conference in India
Hi All,
I didn't see this posted anywhere else on the forum. This conference will be held in Bangalore, in Sept 2011.
More details here: http://securitybyte.org/
Thought of giving a heads up to ya all for whom its possible to attend the conference.
Personally, among the speakers at the conference, the one I was really impressed to see the name of was, Whitfield Diffie.
There's also going to be a contest, "Capture the Flag" related to Web hacking and Wireless hacking.
Regards,

Lol, you guys must be kidding me!
When the challenge has RCE and you are not root on the server, you never really hacked it.

I agree with webdevil, the server had RCE, and the flag was in the root directory . so for reading the flag u could make a realistic attempt by rooting the server or use the flag reader binary to get it. Either way it would be part of the CTF only since the game was fully realistic [no brain teasers were there] .
So we could only call it a hack that's part of the CTF, nothing unexpected .Hacking Is a Matter of Time Knowledge and Patience
